Author Guidelines

Articles must be submitted in their final version, electronically through the RBFM website. For this purpose, the primary author (or correspondent author) must register and provide all the requested data.

Papers in Portuguese and English will be accepted. However, we encourage submissions in English. Whenever possible, we will speed up the review process for articles in English.

The corresponding author must attach a file with a copy of the manuscript (article) in Microsoft Word (*.doc or *.docx) and the signed "Author Declaration" (*.pdf) through the RBFM electronic submission system.

The "Author's Declaration" file is available at this link. The corresponding author must download the file, respond to it, sign it, and submit it (in PDF format) to the journal's system at the time of article submission.

Manuscripts that conform to the journal's format will be accepted. A template is available on the website for each type of article (see links to templates below).

Manuscripts must have a minimum and maximum number of pages according to the type of article and include Figures, Tables, and References. The text must be written using Arial font, size 10. The line spacing throughout the text must be simple, and the text alignment must be justified on both sides. Do not insert blank lines between paragraphs. For articles written in Portuguese, terms cited in English must be in italics.

The manuscript must be written on A4 paper (21.0 x 29.7 cm), with margins and spacing of the templates. The page layout must follow the double-column formatting with width and spacing as the template, except for the Title/Authorship and Summary/Abstract sections, in which a single column must be used in the page layout formatting.
